It was a dreary and cold March day when I first set foot on Acadia.  At the invitation of Lyman Morse Boat Builders, friends, customers, employees, and designers came together to celebrate the boatyard’s growth and new projects with an enthusiasm that was infectious. In what quickly began to feel like a family reunion, everyone gathered to tour the facilities and have a look at some of the yard’s finest work.  Without a doubt, all eyes were on Acadia.

The 84-foot classic flybridge cockpit cruiser is the second largest motor yacht after the 1996 launch of Tumblehome (90’) that the Thomaston, Maine yard has completed.  Designed by the Setzer Design Group of Cary, N.C., Acadia also follows Magpie (another Setzer/L-M collaboration) in further establishing Lyman-Morse a premier American builder.
